About Rachel

Meet Rachel Downing, the founder of Revive Design. 

A designer by instinct long before it became her profession, Rachel approaches every project with the belief that beautiful spaces should also be deeply functional, restorative, and thoughtfully designed around the people who live in them.

Before establishing Revive Design, Rachel built a successful career in corporate Human Resources, where she developed advanced communication skills,  a high "EQ" (emotional intelligence), and a deep understanding of human behavior. Her success was rooted in her ability to understand complex needs, translate them into creative strategies, and deliver results within environments shaped by competing priorities and real-world constraints. Those same skills now inform her design work, ensuring each project is not only beautifully aligned with how her clients live, but executed according to her high standards.

Alongside her corporate career, Rachel renovated multiple homes with her husband while raising their three sons. It was during these projects that Revive Design began to take shape, with Rachel leading all aspects of the design and developing a practical, intuitive approach to transforming existing spaces. Through these hands-on experiences Rachel refined her design instincts and deepened her understanding of how thoughtful spatial decisions can meaningfully improve everyday life by maximizing beauty, functionality, and long-term value.

Today, Rachel brings her collective talents and experiences to create interiors that feel elevated, personal, and enduring. Guided by a deep understanding of both people and space, she approaches every project with care and discernment and delivers results that aren't just beautiful, but unmistakably her clients’ own.
